4. Duplex (Ferritic-Austenitic)

   • Composition: Approximately equal proportions of austenite and ferrite.

   • Properties: Higher strength than austenitic steels, excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

   • Common Grades: 2205, 2507.

   • Applications: Chemical processing, marine environments. 

5. Precipitation-Hardening

   • Composition: Contains elements like aluminum, copper, or niobium.

   • Properties: High strength, good corrosion resistance, can be heat treated to achieve desired properties.

   • Common Grades: 17-4 PH, 15-5 PH.

   • Applications: Aerospace, nuclear reactors.
